Dr Kinesh Pather
He hails from the medical fraternity, and post his practice completed his MBA, went into the investment arena, therafter joining Letsema Investments, and CEPPWAWU Invesments.
Kinesh has extensive experience in the trade union investment arena – he was previously the CEO of the Chemical and Petroleum Union Investment Company. In this role in 2001, he concluded the first significant BEE transaction in the PharmaCo sector through a strategic equity acquisition into Aspen Pharmacare (SA’s largest generic pharmaceutical manufacturer). This has led to enormous benefits for the Union and its members over the last 13 years. He gained immense insight into the sector and the value proposition to the partners.
Kinesh played a key role in the transformation of the Petroleum sector in SA over the previous decade and has access, through direct relationships, with Major Oil Companies and Financiers in this sector. He participated in Total South Africa in formulating its empowerment strategy and approach and is also currently a shareholder of Total SA.
Kinesh was instrumental in the deal structuring of Impala Platinum’s Marula Platinum Mine and lead the consortium to acquire 27% of Marula Platinum in 2005. Kinesh acts as Advisor to Tubatse Platinum and the Marula Community Trust, two of the empowerment partners in the 27% stake of Marula. Kinesh is still retained as advisor on all matters relating to the empowerment stake, and on the community matters.
Kinesh is currently Chairman of Kilimanjaro Capital, a strategic investment company holding equity holdings in the petroleum sector. He also is Chairman of AvaCap which is a boutique corporate advisory house, and an Executive Director of Kefolile Group.
Kinesh also has extensive relationships in both the business and political arena of SA and in various parts of the Globe.
Thato Mashao is the Director of the Thato Mashao investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd, Tshiamo Group Holdings (Pty) Ltd and Melody Entertainment (Pty) Ltd. He worked with Mr Sipho Mseleku as an Executive assistant in the Office of the CEO with the association of SADC Chambers of Commerce and industry (ASCCI) and later worked as a Business Development Executive for two years.
He is currently working with Sakhumnotho Group Holdings, The Global Business school of Entrepreneurship, The Global Business Roundtable and The Global Fund for Christ as an Executive Manager in the Office of the Executive Chairman and assists the Chairman with all support and logistics in the execution of his duties.
Mr. Sipho Mseleku
Mr. Sipho Mseleku is the current Executive Chairman of Sakhumnotho Group Holdings and the Chairman of Sakhumnotho related companies. Sipho has served in a number of boards and organisations such as Baragwanath Hospital Board, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport Education and Training Authority (THETA), Securities and Regulations Panel (SRP), National Small Business Advisory Council and many others.
He is the Immediate Past President of the Convocation of Wits University which represents more than 100 000 Wits Graduates around the world, he has also served as a member of Wits Council, Senate and the Senior Appointments Selection Committee.
He is a fellow of the Institute of Directors of South Africa (IoD). Sipho is currently the President and Chairman of Global Business School of Entrepreneurship. He is a director of Ecobank Group, Chairman of Oakhurst Insurance Company Limited; Director of Camsecure, Sulzer Pumps South Africa Limited, ASKY Airlines Limited and ATNS, Sipho became President of the Global Business Roundtable, a network of business people around the world.
Bradley has over 21 years’ experience in the exploration and production industry. He is a graduate with an M.Sc and a MBA degree.
Bradley developed his technical mining expertise as a graduate geophysicist before joining the oil and gas industry. He has technical and commercial oil and gas field experience and has a background in petroleum economic modelling.
He joined Soekor E&P in 1996 (now PetroSA), where he held various technical and senior management positions including South Africa Business Development Manager and Regional Manager East and West Africa. During this period Bradley was involved in the management, planning and field development of onshore and offshore oil and gas fields.
For the last five years at SacOil Bradley has been responsible for managing the portfolio of assets and executing the associated joint venture operations.
He has experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams associated with the exploration, development and production of onshore and offshore concession and oilfields in local and various international jurisdictions. He is a registered member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
